Military Veteran Resource Access

Did You Serve In The Military? Check Out These Military Veteran Resource Access Tips

If you've served in the military, it's likely that you've spent some time searching for information on military veteran resource access. At Building Roots Partnerships LLC, we understand how frustrating it can be to find the most up to date information on the resources that you need, which is why we're in the process of creating an app for veterans. Our app for veterans will provide you with access to vetted resources in your area that can give you the services and help you deserve. We're currently in beta testing for veterans apps, and in the meantime, we're here to offer you tips to help you connect with the resources that you need to thrive after serving our country.

When you're searching for information to help you after serving in the military, keep an eye out for the following:

  • Tax-exempt status. A solid veterans organization will likely be approved by the government as an official charity, and be provided with tax-exempt status. Most organizations have information about their tax-exempt status on their website. Feel free to reach out to any organization for more information on whether they're officially recognized as a non-profit. If you find a company isn't being forthcoming about it's charitable status, be sure to report them.

  • Timeline for upcoming veteran projects. The veterans organizations you choose to work with should have a plan for how they're going to use their funds to support veterans in the future. It's important that they have a clear vision on what they're going to do with money, and how it's going to directly help veterans in need.

  • Speedy feedback. You shouldn't have to wait months to get a response from an organization that helps veterans. When you reach out to a veterans organization with questions, you should have a response within a few days. Taking longer may be a sign that the organization is not well-organized, or that they aren't using solid business practices.

  • Reviews. When you search for reviews of a charity, don't just rely on the reviews on the charity's website. Often, the charity can control those reviews, and may only publish positive or false reviews. Instead, do a search online for independent reviews to get a better idea of how well the charity is regarded by veterans and the people closest to them.

At Building Roots Partnerships LLC, we're thankful for your service, and we're working hard to provide military veteran resource access so that you can easily find the services you need to thrive after serving. We know that it can be tough to adjust to daily life after years of serving in the military, and these effects can last decades after you've finished serving. Whether you're looking for PTSD support, financial support, medical help, counseling, or you simply want to connect with other veterans who have served, we're here to help you get the military veteran resource access that makes the most sense for you.
